I'm Asian American, and while I know that representation has gotten a lot better in the entertainment industry, it's still extremely lacking for Asians, especially when it comes to film & TV. Growing up in the United States, the only actress I remember who  looked like me   was Lucy Liu. She has been my inspiration since I was young, so if I can even make one tiny dent in the industry, or inspire just 1 person, then it's all worth it. We need more diversity among top-billed actors!

I want to contribute to increasing representation in Open Ethnicity roles (where characters  happen to   be Asian, but the story is not  about   their Asianness), but I ALSO want to encourage writers & directors to   tell more Asian stories . We need diversity across all levels of this industry.

I grew up a competitive athlete (went to college for swimming, and competed in the US Olympic Trials), so I have the drive & discipline in me to do the necessary work to achieve my goals. I'm a former co-founder of a startup as well, but despite all this, I'm very easy-going & my personality can be described as fun, energetic, and easily excitable :) 

I can speak Japanese natively (intermediate) and I'm really passionate about spreading Japanese culture and helping educate others about Japanese culture.🇯🇵
