[Art]Korean actor and artist based in Seoul and NY.

Hello,

My name is Jueun Kang. I'm a Korean actor and artist based in Seoul and New York. 

Growing up, I was perfectly an average person who was an unofficial mediator, reserved and taciturn but fast at emotions. Art has always been a great source of energy and a loyal friend to me throughout my journey of finding identity as an actor and an artist. Having spent half of my lifetime in Korea and another half in America, I often resented the fact that I couldn’t perfectly fit myself into a title as a Korean-American actor or an Americanized Korean actor but I can say now that I’m living an experience of my own title that I shouldn’t be afraid to show as an actor and artist. 

I’m sure there are people like me that don't “fit in”, surviving in places where they “shouldn’t exist” and I am an actor today with clearer resolve of why I act. I am an actor for those people worldwide who has stories that people care little about. I am a storyteller for those voices to be heard by the world we live in together. I create for them and for myself through theatre, film, and sometimes paintings. 

I am here to join on this great journey of creators out there finding what it means to be human.
